The Linnwood Data Set
The Linnwood water purification plant
is operated by the Milwaukee Water Works. It has 32 filters and the capacity to
treat 275 million gallons per day. Water for the Linnwood Plant is drawn from an
intake 6,565 feet from shore, five miles north of the Milwaukee harbor, at a point
where Lake Michigan is 67 feet deep. (Source: Milwaukee Water Works)
The Milwaukee Water Works has collected water quality data from its intake
on a nearly continuous basis since 1939. This data is a valuable historic record
of environmental information, so we offer it here.
